Introducing a New Head of School

May 13, 2024

The Board is excited to announce that Mr. Jeremy Marsh will begin serving as the Interim Head of School effective June 1.  Jeremy is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of educational and organizational leadership and teaching experience as well as experience as legal counsel in a variety of school and business settings.

Jeremy is a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy where he later served as a senior faculty member and leader. He has a Master of Public Management from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctorate from the Saint Louis University School of Law.  He is also a Van Lunen Fellow, having completed the executive management training program for heads of schools through the Van Lunen Center for Executive Management in Christian Schools at Calvin University.

Since retiring from the Air Force in 2016, Jeremy served as Head of School at Stillwater Christian School in Kalispell, Montana, and Head of Institutional Advancement at Westminster Christian Academy in St. Louis.  Jeremy and his wife Rebekah have four children and are grateful to be in St. Louis where they both grew up.  They are active members of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

The Board interviewed several good candidates, but we all agreed that Jeremy represents a wonderful fit for our school and community.  Our expectation and plan is that he will serve in this role for two years, providing him and the board time to work on a number of important priorities together: the formation of a strategic plan, progress on the capital campaign, re-accreditation, and helping identify and recruit our next permanent Head of School.

Jeremy will be at the school this week, getting to know the school community.  Both he and Tammy will be developing a transition plan and continuing to collaborate over the summer to make sure we are fully ready for school to resume.

These are exciting times for Heritage, with graduations, building programs, and a Head of School transition all happening!  We look forward to seeing the school continue to flourish, with every student loved and growing in wisdom and understanding.  Please join us in welcoming Jeremy and thanking Tammy for her excellent service, and in praying for our school.

A greeting from Jeremy Marsh…

Dear Heritage Community,

I thank God for the opportunity to join the Heritage community and serve you as Head of School in this season.  It’s been my joy to learn more about Heritage these past several weeks and I can already see that this is a school where gospel truth, Christ’s beauty, and God’s goodness are celebrated and lived out consistently, by His grace.  Praise the Lord!

My hope and prayer for this next season at Heritage is that it would be a sweet season of joy and peace as we labor together in this important work; that we can build on the good momentum of Mrs. Walker’s leadership; that we can lean into the challenges and opportunities before us; and most of all that we can bring God glory and promote our student’s good as we seek to transform their hearts and minds and inspire them to follow Jesus.

I look forward to meeting each of you in the coming weeks.  I’m humbled by the trust you’ve placed in me. Thank you in advance for your support and prayers for me and for Heritage during this transition.

In Christ,

Jeremy Marsh
